Pros

I've gained so many skills working here and the closest of best friends I've made have come from this job. It feels almost like family once you've been here for some time. We have really fun team events & work parties. Everyone is very open to helping others and answering questions about freight. The team I've worked on for the past year has been very lenient about taking time off and working from home when needed. It ultimately depends on what broker you work for but for example during thanksgiving I was able to spend ten days with my family in Los Angeles, CA. and was able to work from home when I was visiting. There are plenty of opportunities to make money, you really have to strive and push hard to do so on commission.

Cons

The turnover is fairly quick but that is decided off of how hard you are working to prove yourself. Brokers have to meet numbers and if they don't and they aren't doing much to make things work, then its not going to look good for them. I referred my friend and I have to wait six months before getting a referral bonus and that's if they stay with the organization. Most jobs in the past its only 90 days for the referrals.

Pros

The lights were on, horrible energy though.

Cons

The past year saw some typical changes for a growing company such as becoming a lot more corporate, all the way down to 'hire anyone with a pulse and layoff others' approach and ridiculous penalties for not hitting a certain number... that is just sometimes not obtainable.
