Cons
So when I started at IEL this company truly changed my life for the better. This company WAS amazing. From the culture, to the opportunities, to the environment as a whole, IEL was amazing. The industry was on an uptick at that time and we looked forward to coming into the office. As the market changed and as the company grew, IEL had changed for the worse. The environment is bleak and an uninspired hull of what it once was. The work environment in the past was a warm and happy place to be which is stark in contrast to how it stands today. The company has grown so much in the last few years and they have forgotten about taking care of those who have gotten them to where they are today. Payment structures have changed, opportunities for earning more money in your role have been slashed, and the unrealistic pressure to perform in such a challenging market from management has never been higher. Ever since Kevin McCaig left this company has been in absolute shambles. Apart from a couple shining stars, the management team that is there is unorganized, disingenuous and impartial to it's employees best interest. I gave everything to this company, I worked long hours, after hours, weekends, and was on call 24/7 for years and I was let go with verbal, written, or justifiable reasoning. I referred other employees, participated in bettering the company culture, looked for opportunities for growth within the company, and truly believed that the greatness that IEL once was, was still possible. I was wrong. IEL allows harassment of it's employees from other employees and does nothing to stop it. This includes harassment for race, gender, and sexuality, These have been recurring and documented incidents and nothing has been done at all from HR. If you are a female, minority, or part of the LGBTQ community EXPECT TO BE HARRASSED. This company has little to no training and expects the sales and operations staff to fully train new individuals while also maintaining their workload. This company does not pay more than other companies, this company does not provide more opportunities for growth than other companies, and this company does not treat their employees better than other companies and it took leaving IEL to realize that the grass truly is greener on the other side. If you are looking to join this company as anything other than a Logistics Account Executive set the expectation that your employment status is nothing more than expendable to them and if you are looking to join as an LAE please know that there is little opportunity for success within the market and current prospecting structure and you will be tossed to the curb if you do not pay for your seat.
