Pros

Hard to come up with positives. They seem to chase their tail around identifying and delivering training products. Many clients leave after the first experience.

Cons

The company is not process driven. Very hard to build good training products when they keep putting ineffectual consultants and PMs in front of clients. Without good tools, processes and managers in place it is hard to see how they stay in business. Tough environment to grow your skills. They have had waves of employees but few feel validated. There are many better companies to work for in the Puget Sound.

Pros

Great opportunity to do meaningful work with clients and grow your skills. In addition to serving current clients well, Intrepid has attracted some amazing new outsourcing clients (including top tech companies) in the last year, AND has built an awesome new learning technology product that combines social, collaborative & short-form learning. Great outcome for the company (people, clients, etc.) with the sale of the services business to Xerox, and launch of the tech business as a new company!

Cons

As a smaller company, at times there have been limits to the ability to advance to the next level--the Xerox acquisition addresses that for the outsourcing and professional services team members.

Pros

Flexible work schedules. Ability to work from home. Unfortunately, that's about it.

Cons

Stunningly unethical behavior on the part of senior managers. Many, many good people have left this company with a bad taste in their mouths. Sadly, Sam Herring is a figurehead and a "golden boy" who gives good speeches - but he is not the right person to lead a company, under any circumstances. There's been a revolving door of leaders for years. You're promised much more than you're given. Some of the unethical behavior is stunning in its transparency and audacity. Hard to believe Madrona backed this company and yet did not provide proper management oversight.
