Pros
Good clients. It's fast paced – if that's your thing then great. It's a well respected company and looks good on a resume. They pay well. Opportunities for promotion. They do training days. Drinks on Fridays. Outside of work people are generally friendly and good people. Pool table. New office coming soon.
Cons
The last few positive reviews all appeared in the same day and follow a bad review. Is this screwy? That's how you feel working there. It feels screwy. It felt screwy when they sent all company emails celebrating a client campaign the very same week they lost most of that client to another agency. And it feels screwy that they talk a lot about values, yet never seem to follow them in practice. They say all the right things, but that doesn't necessarily translate to experience. What else? A lack of team work – it's competitive, your colleagues might even relish your shortcomings. There's lots of public backslapping in emails, but in person everyone is in it for themselves. There are some great people at this company, but the politics, competitive nature and under resourcing brings good people down. Under resourcing seems to be a huge issue. People are constantly stressed out. I've never seen coworkers in tears or overtly arguing over projects.. then I worked at Isobar and saw it a number of times. There are also processes and gatekeepers that make your job much harder than it needs to be. A fast pace is good, but churn and burn is not. It feels a little profit over people – they seem to take on more than their resources can actually manage.
