I recently separated from the military in which I worked as a military police officer. After separation I attended a cohort program through Skillstorm. Iworks and Skillstorm had a partnership to hire veterans. I reached out to Iworks and applied and they brought me on as an intern. During my intern process, I was on a project that I was not fully grasping. After voicing my concerns they moved me to a different project and got me hired full time. Even though I had no IT experience Iworks exposed me to real-life projects for the important experience I needed to succeed as a transitioning veteran. I can tell that Iworks cares for veterans as they really put the time and effort into getting me onto the right project and made sure I was trained fully for the role.
