Pros

Afforded the opportunity to rapidly learn and deploy ideas within the solar/PV manufacturing space, which is a first for the United States.

Cons

Navigating the Chinese/Local AZ culture within a high-volume manufacturing environment is a considerable challenge. Chinese bosses demand a siloed culture, consistent with Chinese-style operations with what is mirrored at HQ. Lots of friction and arguing.

Pros

Low workload, compressed schedule. Good benefits

Cons

HR communication not consistent Chinese owned company. They are supposed to be here helping us learn however that is hard to do when they do the work and don't explain anything HR sucks. I mean pretty terrible. Think policy changed without proper documentation. There were months we tried to get in communication with them and got no responses to emails and they were working from home so couldn't just walk in on them. Main issue I'm having is I am not sure who to talk to if there is a problem as most of the time there is no solution. Also lots of broken promises. Be prepared to see plenty of safety violations. Equipment not properly outfitted for safe repairs. No lockout/tag out points on some machines. When these issues are brought up to the Chinese management there is no action.
