Pros

Nothing that springs to mind other than free membership.

Cons

Regularly threatened verbally and physically by nasty angry drunken or drug-fuelled customers. No safety training given. No protection at all for staff. Long unsociable hours with no overtime paid. Expected to be on call on days off. Impossible to take holidays as always staff leaving and it takes forever to fill vacancies. Mentally draining. HQ couldn’t care less. Pay is very mediocre. Escalations not dealt with. The gym industry is such a terrible industry but this organisation is morally appalling. It will make you ill. It’s just not safe in some of the rougher places in the UK. It’s modern day exploitation and rife for employment tribunals. It’s unforgiving and an unacceptable way to run a business in the UK in 2026.

Pros

Free gym membership is fair

Cons

Improper unsupported training, no forewarning about probation review, pressure is all on you even if you only work 12 hours compared to the other 2 cleaners, managers and PTs spend all their time in the office rather than helping tidy the gym. Environment bad for your mental health.
