Pros
The professionals seemed very open to communicating across all levels of the business.
Cons
The work culture felt antiquated, everyone still very chained to an 8.30-5.30 day and not a lot of flexibility to work from home. Despite my manager telling me she was flexible on the interview, when I did set up a wfh arrangement my manager gave me very unreasonable outcomes that were micromanaged (it was only my second week) this was a big red flag for me. The HR team which I worked with all seemed depressed, and the girl that was put in charge of my training was so unfriendly it made me feel so uncomfortable. When I raised this issue with my manager, her response was that the girl was ‘just like her’ 🤣. I think it was about this time I just decided to 🏃🏽♀️ and not look back! On my way out the door the receptionist demanded to know where I was going!? It honestly felt like some weird time warp of what I imagined a company might have been 20 years ago, a lack of direction, lack of inclusion and micromanagement.
