Pros
-Their turnover rate is horrible, which is good if you're in need of a job, because they're always hiring. -The sales staff and store managers are friendly. -Management will treat you to coffee or pizza when performance is good.
Cons
-They hire staff who cannot handle the store on their own, and in turn store management cannot go for breaks. -Working slam shifts pay a lot, but you are mentally drained with few to no breaks. -Management will scrutinize sales staff for every little detail. -Upper management micro manages the store when they are away, with constant harassing phone calls, emails..... -When you are full time, expect no days off, due to their horrible turnover rate, you are always on call as a key holder, assistant manager or store manager. -They have a counter at the front of the store, even if the store has no customers, it counts the employees entering and exiting the store, and expect you to make sales to visibly nobody. - Management is such a tight knit group, there is no virtual way to move up within the company. Your ultimate goal is to be a store manager. -The owner instills fear into his management which then take out their stresses down onto the store employees who are essentially paid minimum wage to deal with abuse. - They do not truthfully care about their employees, they breach every aspect of Health & Safety, Work Conditions, The Labour Act.
