Pros

I started out as an marketing and sales intern at Jinfonet Software in 2014. I quickly got to know everyone in the company, and to appreciate the family-feel of the company. It is great when you can find a company that seems to actually care about you and where you want your career to go, especially as I was only an intern. After graduating, I moved to Maryland and worked full-time as a Marketing Coordinator, and then as a Marketing Manager. In total, I was at Jinfonet for about a year and a half. I ended up leaving the company because I missed my hometown - Seattle. I would definitely recommend working for Jinfonet. As far as I could tell, they make you feel like you are a part of the family and every person's role is important. It is important to note you could walk a few feet and talk to the CEO or VP of Sales, whose doors were always open. I also believe they have a truly good product, which is necessary for the foundation of a software company, and many analysts have written so.

Cons

I like to collaborate with a larger team and learn from others, and the marketing team at Jinfonet was rather small, only three people including me. In addition, there were not as many young people. Some salespeople were in their late 20s or early 30s, but the majority of employees were older than that.

Pros

Working at Jinfonet was my first job coming out of college and I could not ask for a better experience. I worked as a marketing coordinator and the small, personable environment allowed me to engage in various facets of marketing. Quite literally all of them. This allowed me to grow as a person and find out what I truly wanted in marketing. This is a great position for anyone seeking to expand their marketing skills to other realms or for seasoned professionals looking to broaden their world as well. Not only was I able to polish my marketing skills, but the allowed for you to engage in other departments of the organization given you were willing to learn and/or showed promise to help fulfill other projects. The skills i gained laterally were definitely a boon for me. This is a great opportunity for anyone to advance their career or even for newbies such as I was! Also lots of great, frequent company events many companies dont commit to!

Cons

There was a lack of procedure in many areas that could make the environment challenging to navigate. Along with that is no formal appraisal process or how to go about things. As I left Jinfonet, however, this movement to begin formalizing processes had begun. The future is bright.
