Good for people with caring responsibilities (children and sick relatives).
Cons
Not great if you have a recurring illness. You'll be placed on a warning if you have a maximum 8 days sick in a rolling year or 3 separate periods of sickness. Absolutely ridiculous to apply this blanket approach to all. Managers discretion can be used to avoid a warning but rarely is as Team Leaders appear to be frightened to make a decision.
