Pros

high base salary - but on a draw so you will likely never catch up. Every other Friday off - this is a nice perk

Cons

During my interview process, I conducted extensive research on Jobot to ensure its credibility. I consulted reputable sources such as Glassdoor, Google, and articles written about the company, which provided positive feedback. However, my experience at Jobot revealed certain concerning aspects. The company operates with a pyramid scheme mentality and enforces higher expectations upon promotion after achieving set goals, leaving little choice in the matter. There appears to be favoritism within the organization, as evidenced by the presence of multiple husband and wife teams, some of whom are even managed by their spouse. Furthermore, the company's financial management has been questionable, resulting in the sudden cancellation of our health insurance without prior notice due to an alleged accounting error. In reality, the CEO, Heidi, acknowledged that the company had grown too rapidly and was forced to renegotiate premiums, citing 20 million dollars in outstanding accounts receivable as a possible outcome of neglecting overdue invoices.

Pros

Flexibility and autonomy, strong “base” salary in a form of a draw.

Cons

Management doesn’t practice what they preach. They sell “kindness and respect” but don’t volunteer information to their employees and sugar-coat it when backed into a corner. I would be surprised if the company is still in business in 12 months given the millions in lawsuits they have pending (one $6+ mil one they just lost). Bottom line, there is no structure or support and you’re always going to be chasing your draw while looking over your shoulder given Jobot’s track record of making sudden compensation changes or mass workforce reductions.
