Pros

There are no pros. It's a horrible company

Cons

Management is extremely inexperienced. It's all hype. They've never flown the vehicle with a pilot with the propellers full transitioneed forward. There are zero safety features that will save the plane or it's passengers - i.e. no safety chute, no autorotation, no glide in and land, just fall like a brick and burn when the lithium battery explode. All their talk about safety is just that . . . Talk. So many of the engineers are full of themselves and are primadonna's. They waste money left and right. It's not even a revenue generating company and it has over 1000 employees and they feed all of the employees every day 3 meals a day and they give everyone a Patagonia jacket. The waste money is obscene. Trying to get project level budget approval is next to impossible. They think that they can purchase used equipment and materials from auctions and just somehow make it work. There is no real clear plan. They'll try to make you believe there's a plan but again, it's just hype and they're making it up as they go. So much time and money is spent neddlesly purchasing equipment and materials from auctions and then trying to find places to warehouse it in case we can use it.someday. Seriously weak leadership.

Pros

Fun place to be as an engineer. The company philosophy is to be highly vertically integrated across the full stack of technologies necessary to build and operate electric aircraft. This results in an environment where you are surrounded by the tools and technical expertise to build pretty much anything. The company mission is motivating. There is a steady stream of highly interesting projects to work on. The company culture is very open and friendly. 3 free meals per day, with most people eating together at communal tables.

Cons

Management frequently sets highly unrealistic schedules and goals, to the point that no front-line worker has any faith in the timelines. No one is motivated to reach and achieve a deadline that is impossible with the resources given. Space is at a premium in San Carlos. Everyone is crammed into the building like sardines. Few windows.

Pros

Fairly relaxed compared to a real startup. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Most people are great, typically very collaborative

Cons

High level company goals often clash with producing a manufacturable product. The reasoning is sound, but can make it difficult to find motivation. The company is also taking on projects that need more structure than the startup environment can often provide. Poor compensation.
