Pros
I was in KLSM. Best colleagues you will ever have. No office politics. Very inclusive. Great company welfare. A lot of annual leave compared to other companies. Training is provided. This is a great company to join if you want to pursue the marine/shipping industry or if you’re starting out your career. OT not necessary if you get your work done. Salary wise is good too.
Cons
Fast phase environment, at least for my department. Must be able to multitask and able to prioritise important tasks as deadlines are constantly coming in. As it’s a Japanese company, they are particular about punctuality, but that’s not a problem for me. Have to back up your colleagues if they go on leave, hence have to work twice as hard. Career progression will be slow. The only way to climb the corporate ladder/get promotion is if someone above you leave the company.
