Pros
The company is lean, tight, and focused. My colleagues are smart, see challenges as ways to learn new skills/techniques, and are open to new ideas. The culture is convivial and helpful: when I'm stuck and ask for help, there are always responses. Throughout these business conversations, there's a thread of humor: we are all aware there's an actual person on the other end of the email chain or skype call. I've found my employment here very rewarding. The benefits have been re-structured recently, offering competitive healthcare, PTO, 401(k), etc.
Cons
If you're not used to working remotely, you'll need to learn to apply the skills that make remote work efficient and, let's admit it, a great way to work. Others have already written about the importance of being focused on goals and work/life ballance, good at time management, an open communicator and a flexible collaborator. But I can't think of a better place to be doing this kind of work.
