Pros

- Pay for some roles is above average - Historically, the company hosted quarterly in-person summits that were excellent for team bonding (though these have recently been scaled back because of budget) - Originally hired as a remote-first organization (recently, employees were mandated to come to the office)

Cons

- Heavy reliance on a very few anchor clients has led to instability and layoffs across global offices (Australia & Canada) when those accounts fluctuate - Promotion and bonus cycles often feel dictated by favouritism rather than objective peer feedback (you can write and achieve the SMARTest goals, but you won't get anything) - Critical information is often gatekept by leadership, leading to embarrassing situations where clients are sometimes better informed than the internal delivery team - Annual leave is 21 days, but ~10 days are consumed by a forced year-end shutdown - Management is aware of the toxic shifts in culture, but their response is purely performative; employees provide the feedback and action plans, but there is zero concrete execution from the top

Pros

- Pay is decent - Most ICs are genuinely good people and great to work with

Cons

- Marketed as a consultancy but effectively had one real client. No sales, no diversification. When the project wasn’t renewed, ~65% of the company was laid off - Executive team is ineffective and reactive. Constant pivots, poor communication, no real leadership - Middle management was weak. Executives promoted ICs with no management skills. This approach hurt teams and caused attrition - Retained toxic high performers while ignoring morale issues - 4 weeks of PTO, but forced to use 2 weeks in December - No raises, not even inflation adjustments. Market conditions was the blanket excuse

Pros

- Many talented and kind people (particularly at the individual contributor level) - Mostly remote work

Cons

- Highly cliquey culture that limits mobility and visibility - Career growth is very limited; most employees remain in the same role with little opportunity to advance - Strong client-first mentality, often at the expense of employee well-being and job security - Benefits package is below market for a consultancy - Employees are required to use personal vacation days during the Christmas shutdown, which effectively reduces earned time off - Significant layoffs due to business model, highlighting the risk employees carry in this business model
