Pros
Everyone is fully engaged and enthusiastic about making current services and products better and coming up with new ideas. The company structure is very flat and there are chances for even new employees to get their voices heard and make changes to the way things run.
Cons
I'm not sure if the agile practices are that effective for larger teams. The open office structure (while super common in Japan) tends to be a bit disruptive since there are so many stand up meetings. Also the fact that there aren't enough meeting spaces can be a source of frustration. There are a lot of kind of 'optional' meetings that take place after work hours. Management is pushing a sort of flexible working hour scheme, but a lot of teams still have morning meetings and evening stand-ups, which make it difficult to work a schedule other than the regular 9:30 to 18:30. As is typical of Japan, no one leaves on the dot so expect 2 to 3 hours of overtime daily.
