Pros

The company is fast-growing and offers opportunities to learn about cybersecurity products and the industry. Unfortunately, the toxic culture and poor management largely offset these positives.

Cons

Keeper Security has a hostile and toxic workplace culture. The CEO’s management style is authoritarian, and employees are expected to comply without question. Unreasonable demands are common, and employees are frequently terminated over relatively minor issues. Layoffs and turnover are alarmingly high, creating a constant culture of fear and instability throughout the company. Employees are afraid of senior leadership and tend to comply without speaking up. Promotions often feel unfair, as individuals favored by leadership are rewarded and promoted regardless of performance or capability. The work environment is toxic and unfriendly, with very little genuine collaboration or support among teams. There is a strong culture of tattling, where employees routinely report each other to management, which fosters distrust and encourages people to undermine one another rather than work together. My manager was often unresponsive to messages, regularly delaying my work. Feedback focused almost entirely on criticism, with little recognition even when results were strong. This is demotivating, and the environment is mentally draining and stressful, wearing employees down over time rather than supporting growth or well-being. Many employees come to work each day worried about losing their jobs. Due to the lack of psychological safety, high turnover, unfair treatment, and poor leadership culture, I strongly recommend others think carefully before joining this company. It has been one of the worst workplaces I have personally experienced.

Keeper Security Response
4mo
We respectfully strongly disagree with the characterization of Keeper Security’s leadership and culture. As a fast-growing cybersecurity company, we operate with high standards, clear expectations, and strong accountability. This is not a culture of fear, but one built around performance, ownership, and the discipline required to succeed in a highly competitive and regulated industry. Regarding turnover and terminations, Keeper does not conduct arbitrary layoffs or terminate employees over minor issues. All separations are performance-related and follow structured processes that include clear verbal feedback and opportunities to improve. While performance conversations can be challenging, they are handled deliberately and consistently to ensure fairness and to protect the long-term health of the organization. We take all feedback about management and communication seriously and continue to invest in leadership development, performance coaching, and open channels for employees to raise concerns. We understand that a high-performance environment is not the right fit for everyone, but most of our employees grow, collaborate, and build long-term careers at Keeper. We remain committed to maintaining a professional, accountable, and results-driven workplace.

I’m loving the entrepreneurial environment !

Cons

Not much to complain about. If you’re not used to entrepreneurial, fluid environments, it will not be for you.

Pros

The team members were one of the best parts of working here. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help each other. Many of my coworkers genuinely cared about doing great work and creating a positive experience for customers.

Cons

Unfortunately, the work environment created by management was the complete opposite. There was a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and inconsistent leadership. Managers often created unnecessary stress rather than supporting employees, and concerns raised by staff were frequently ignored. I also witnessed and experienced behavior that felt intimidating and, at times, crossed the line into harassment. Instead of addressing these issues, management often dismissed them or failed to take appropriate action. This created a toxic culture where employees felt uncomfortable speaking up and morale suffered.
