Pros

Relative freedom from the monotony of a " structured setting " aside from this I would be being deceitful if I said there was anything positive about this position, management team and culture

Cons

I suppose the best way to compose a concise summation of all the negative aspects of this position would be to simply list them. ..so here it goes; No communication, horrendous hours, inconsistent hours, culture of hypocrisy and favoritism, no real ability to properly apply the tenets of ABA due to a constant cow tailing to families ridiculous notions of reality, you are expected to abandon your personal life for $15.00 an hour, you aren't placed in a a section of Chester County that is relative to your home and God help you if you try to take off to repair the damage done to your car because of this job...the list goes on and on but I think I've made my point

Pros

A good intro job to learn more about Autism working with a variety of clients. Decent vacation time. Independence in the work field, not at an office job working in a variety of settings. Some dedicated workers that go through heck and high water to do their job at a good level. Some people that really do want to make a difference and care about the individuals they are trying to help. Premise or concept of what the company intends to do is good.

Cons

Lots of travel and poor scheduling. They don't take into consideration where your home is to where you may start your day. Seems to be a status quo work environment playing favorites quite a bit to certain people that will do anything they can to appease management. If you have a difference of opinion on things it can be looked down upon. If clients/parents like you chances are management won't. If you are a free thinker by any means be careful for what you wish for working here. Very data intensive. While some of the time data makes sense, most of the time it does not. Supervisors will try to push their objectives related to goals that often again don't make sense. Families often are lackadaisical to the process shifting opinion back and forth on what they want. It's a free service to them so often support staff can show up and no productive service is provided. This comes after you have driven a long way to get to where you need to go. Vacation time can go quick as they will make you use it at times if you are short hours or if you are sick. Definitely not a good job if you have a family and want some type of a consistent schedule. Supervisors are over worked and often this rubs down onto the employee. Employees will most likely deal with stressed out supervisors because they can't keep enough people employed. Many workers come to their senses they don't want to keep on with a crazy lifestyle or will go someplace where they are treated better. Low pay for the driving and lack of any type of raises. No clear motivation towards wanting to advance within this company.
