Pros
Talented and Friendly people A lot of flexibility Cool projects Free lunches on Friday Beer Friday 5pm+ Some snacks They really innovate (not like most company that say they do and they don't, these guys are pretty creative and come up with good ideas) Really good designers, very creative, the best I've worked with. Management is good, it isn't perfect, but they care about the products, they don't micromanage and they are very competent professionals, plus they are friendly and respectful The majority of the Engineers are really good at what they do The better codebase I've worked on, I still think it can be much better though Open minded, collaboration is encouraged This is a place where you'll be challenged and you will learn a lot
Cons
Bad salaries, under market value Bad benefits, and you have to pay for 40% Theres somewhat lack of management, the least Ive seen in any Company I've worked on though I haven't worked here long enough, but I hear there are no salary increases, you would actually get promoted and you wouldn't get a salary increase There are a few, and I mean it, it's only a few employees, that aren't as talented as the rest, nor they care about the company, and while management knows about it, doesn't do anything and so you are stuck working with them High turn-over There is some back and forth on decisions, that's to expect on startups though I guess Somewhat disorganized, there is a lot of movement in terms of the position everyone holds and the project they work on, I think this is temporary, and management is trying to figure this out Small office, and the location could be better I think, and this is my perception, that the talent in the company has decreased, very talented people have left, and not as talented people have joined the company. Not so much investment in their employees, like company-paid hackathons, or options to take online courses or anything of the like, sometimes it really feels like you are there to do the job you are asked (and don't get me wrong, the job itself it's going to b challenging and interesting), but besides a not so good salary or benefits there is nothing else the company invest in their human resources
