Pros
Flexible hours; ability to work from home at least 2 times per week; generous vacation plan; accessible management and directors; compassionate owner; management open to creative suggestions; most people are friendly; they try to have events and do fun stuff, but often participation is anemic; generally offer a balanced work/life ratio; now out of bankruptcy protection;
Cons
No RRSP contribution by company; bonuses are hard to come by; restrictive salaries (not on par with many other companies and industry); upper management very secretive and lack openness; communication does not often trickle down; many employees overworked due to lack of staff in many areas; the company very often embarks upon new initiatives and plans only to drop the ball along the way, to the extent that you never hear about these initiatives again;
