Pros
Since the rebrand / becoming franchised you still get Hilton benefits
Cons
AVOID!!!! Klarent love money more than anything. Since The Caledonian Edinburgh hotel has become part of Klarent as of June 2024, there has been continuous changes and mismanagement. Klarent constantly put the wellbeing of their employees at the bottom of the food chain. Targets are too high and often unattainable, but Klarent management will not accept any wrongdoing on their behalf and will just say you need to try harder. I could write a book of examples as to how Klarent have, and will, run the hotel into the ground but I fear this could be seen as sharing confidential information - just know any decisions are being made at the top by people who have no compassion or care for anyone but themselves. The wellbeing and staff morale is at an all time low. It is clear to me and any other remaining colleagues that Klarent are in above their heads and do not know the first thing about running a FIVE star hotel, and it will be sad to see it a FOUR star hotel in a matter of months.
PLEASE NOTE all current employees are on Hilton contracts with paid breaks but new employees on Klarent contracts will not receive paid breaks.
