Upper mgmt. is either lost or simply does not care about staff. This is the cheapest company I've ever worked for. They provide the bare minimum in terms of enablement, software, training/prof. development, etc. and expect you to scrape and claw to quota while micromanaging you into misery.
Constant mixed messages from mgmt. but not in a normal "change organization" way. More of a "we don't know what we're doing so here we are directly contradicting our last message yet again" kind of way.
There's also no reason the pay should be as terrible as it is when the CEO flaunts his mansion and cars on daily briefings. Peak level of tone deafness as they refuse to even provide cost-of-living adjustments.
Worst of all is the convoluted comp. plan, full of decimals and inexplicable misses like not rewarding 2-year deals over 1-year deals, and penalizing us way too heavily for not selling 3-year billed upfront (not easy in a highly saturated market where the economy's not exactly the best at the moment).
