Salary is competitive. Though I have seen some people low balled. Benefits are above average over the last few companies that I have worked at.

I am now at a fortune 500 global defense company and I can see a world of difference when it comes to ethics. Working in the Old Town site was like an episode of a tv show where there is no filter or repercussions. As in most places where contractors work directly with Government personnel, there are many things being swept under the rug and not being taken seriously from both the government employees. I've had to install software coming from out of my own pocket to do my job at one point. There is also tension between both prime and subcontractors from when they have switched. They also have you sign into a piece of paper every day like the ones in the bathroom for the cleaning personnel. They are protected by "at-will" employment agreement and may use it to hide behind.
