Pros

Great people, good pay, fun space.

Cons

Great product idea but horrific execution. The product itself is not good, and we could never get it to actually work as intended. Terrible leadership. CEO is a great technologist but not a leader. Has surrounded himself with a bunch of "yes" men. New, grand ideas every week for marketing, sales, product. Could never stay in one lane. CEO thinks AI can fix everything/replace everyone.

Pros

Working as an SE at Kognitos has been hugely rewarding because the tech is truly differentiated. It is exciting to demo a product that solves real business problems in ways customers haven’t seen before. The sales engineering team is tight-knit and supportive, and leadership encourages creativity. There is a genuine culture of collaboration between sales, product, marketing, and engineering.

Cons

Because the company is growing so quickly, we are often shaping new use cases as we go. This creates a lot of opportunity to contribute ideas and influence how things are done, but it also means things can change rapidly. For someone who enjoys building and adapting, this can be a positive challenge rather than a drawback.

Pros

The teams and peers are great. Well respected, capable and highly achieavable people get hired.

Cons

With other reviews this year (2026), there is one common denominator. The CEO. He may be a great technologist but not a good leader. It appears he has restructured the sales org 3 times in 3 years. It is never good enough, so he gets rid of sales leadership and takes over sales himself. He believes AI will fix everything, believes adding AI buzz words on LI will get people to connect and take meetings (doesn't happen). There are also no women in sales and little diversity. Just had a lay off in several areas in Feb. When the sales rep who had a large oppty in the pipeline leaves by choice, that's a clear indication the product isn't selling. It's obvious this is not a good structure. If you need a job badly - maybe. Just know it may not last long.
