Pros
* Very flexible schedule (you can decide to work a ton of hours per week or very little hours) * Casual dress code (a somewhat business casual is expected, but there are many jean days throughout the year) * Free food & drinks on certain occasions (holidays, associate appreciation week) * Associate Discount (fluctuates throughout the year depending on the sales going on in the store, but gets as high as 50% off certain items) * Store managers are almost always really friendly * Variety of different departments to work in the store
Cons
* Credit solicitation goals that are usually way out of reach and hardly under an employee's control * Depending on which of the store managers you work with during your shift, your day could be great or terrible * Inconsistent work environment - some days the store will be really slow and nobody will call out of their shift, other days the store will be severely understaffed and extremely busy * Stores are always trying to cut on payroll before busy weekends * Hourly pay is low for the amount of work you do some days * Although not much training is needed, it's basically nonexistent for most hires * Very high turnover of managers and supervisors * Long store hours year long, unnecessarily longer hours during holiday season * Highly inefficient daily processes throughout the store
