Pros

I really like working at Kohl's Sephora because I can help and communicate with people and customers about a field I am interested in and have a large knowledge about. It feels so great seeing people buying beauty products that leave them more than satisfied and happy with their purchase. I truly enjoy how our passion for make-up and beauty brings us co-workers and customers together.

Cons

I disliked the management style a lot. We have faced some complications with recent changes that were hard to adjust to and it caused a lot of people to quit the job. I really enjoyed working with the people there but being left with only less than a few people who are also considering to quit working at Kohl's Sephora makes the job less enjoyable. Although I honesty enjoyed working at Sephora and I have a great enthusiasm and love for beauty, it is not a job I want to pursue permanently. I would like to go into the medical/dental field because that is truly the field I am attempting to pursue for the future.

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
