Pros
- Lots of personal freedom to define and build your role - Some incredibly supportive staff members
Cons
- Very cliquey, and gossipy atmosphere which goes all the way the top of the company. It can be incredibly uncomfortable when this bubbles over - which it did regularly. - More senior hires were friends of the founders, it can be incredibly complicated raising concerns due to the blend of personal and work relationships. - Clear staff favouritism, with bad behaviour and conduct going unchecked - Processes are basically non-existent. Even if it’s followed by one or two people, without mass take up it all becomes pointless. - Hard work seemed to be measured by who stays latest - which due to the social atmosphere means those who keep their heads down all day never get recognised for their work. - The perks used to sell you the job, are never followed through. Travel is exclusively for select staff members working on activations. - Difficult conversations not dealt with empathy and private conversations between you and management are not kept in confidence. - Management are inexperienced, and don’t prioritise check ins with those reporting into them.
