Pros
they paid slightly better, but the risk is not worth it.
Cons
Ok, I am a very normal person. I would like to take a moment to give a brutally honest review about this company. I was working a a very respectable hospital in my area as a desktop support tech. I received a call from KTEK saying that they would like to bring me on as a desktop tech to another big company in my area. They promised me about $5 more than my current rate at the former job. I accepted. The onboarding process was VERY sketchy. They wanted me to leave my job and start the next week without a 2 week notice. THEN they called back and said they wanted me to start THE NEXT DAY. I was highly uncomfortable with leaving my previous employer without a proper 2 week notice, but the pay was better, so I took a chance.... boy, was that a mistake. I was sent thru a variety of training material and given a company email. I asked for my start date and was given the run-around for weeks. On my start date, I showed up to the parent company that K-tek has their contract with (Procter and Gamble) and was scolded by my recruiter for being there. They kept me "working from home" and waiting for my assignment for over 2 months. It took them over 5 weeks to even get my payroll information set up. Yes, i was getting my paycheck, but I was losing valuable experience time of being onsite and doing real work. Then I noticed that they were not taking any taxes out of my checks. I asked them about it MULTIPLE times and nobody ever gave me a straight answer. It literally takes days to hear anything back from any type of manager. I "worked" for them for over 3 months and LITERALLY, i mean LITERALLY have never seen ONE KTEK employee. NOT ONE. Everything they did was shady and over the phone. Then one day out of the blue, i got a call and was told that my contract was ended. I asked for a reason and was given none. Boom, just like that, i was fired. I went from a steady and stable job to being unemployed in 3 months without any explanation. I tried to file unemployment, but the company didnt take taxes in my state (NC) KTEK is based in Texas, so they dont have to pay out unemployment. Now, i'm jobless and looking for work. Thanks a lot, KTEK. you ruined my whole year.
