Pros
Positive Genuine teamwork Great management at store level Good pay and benefits for the type of work Flexible hours with enough time in advance Opportunities to learn many skills over time Decent profit sharing I worked at a few different stores over 9.5 years, but spent 8.5 of those years at 1 store. I left that store because I moved but chose to transfer back because I missed my manager and coworkers, and the extra commute was worth the hassle to me. If I had to pick another part time (or full time) job up again with little notice, Kwik Trip would be my first application. I worked on service floor on every shift and had some kitchen and bakery experience as well. Third shift/bakery is great if you like independent work and a quiet environment, and the pay is decent. All of the stores I worked at had decent management at minimum; I never felt like I was in a toxic environment or like I was micromanaged. As long as everything gets done on time, I was free to do tasks as I saw fit. My store had outstanding management that lead by example - always willing to jump in and help on any task when available, always happy to teach coworkers new things, and prioritized quality guest service while standing behind the decisions of others if something went awry.
Cons
Not always room to advance Store management/atmosphere varies depending where you work Difficult to get shift coverage on short notice, but mgmt is generally pretty understanding unlike many workplaces at this level.
