Pros

Easy to get in the door because they need to create revenue by having people in seats. Working for the Corporate Office you will be treated like a real person.

Cons

- No work life balance working in SIS for Software engineers … constant 60 hours week. - This is a matrix organization, the program team is who you interact with daily except for a couple weeks out of the year when the functional team works on raises. This is exactly how it sounds the functional team really does not know your contribution. - No technical or professional training, just compliance training. Don’t expect to grow technically. They will tell you during the interview or on this website that they train, but they do not technically train engineers when they work on programs. - No work life balance working in SIS for Software engineers … constant 60 hours week. The problem is that other local companies have better pay and raises locally so engineers are frequently leaving. This void causes overtime to make up for lost schedule. They do not redistribute engineers to offset for other programs that are understaffed or overworked. So it is a flip of the coin but it has affected my life - HR team that is not very friendly or approachable. This is a major problem, the HR cannot be trusted and as long as you know they are not there for employees but the company and treat them that way you will be fine. - Toxic Engineering Management -Small raises like government ... same raise pool for all disciplines

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. This is not the feedback we like to receive, and we are sorry to hear that you are feeling a disruption in your work/life balance. We do offer technical training for our engineering population, and it is unfortunate to hear that the availability of the training has not been communicated to you. Please reach out to your HR Business Partner or segment Learning & Development team for more information. If you have any ethical concerns around your management, we encourage you to reach out to our Ethics & Compliance Helpline (www.L3HarrisHelpline.com or 877-532-6339).

Pros

Missions are impactful to the world Top talent in specialized fields Wonderful people Respectful environment

Cons

Processes and policies are not robust enough to support the large growth / merger, which leaves everyone operating in silos and interpreting things in their own ways Shared service model is not structured properly Not enough critical thinking around how budgets should be allocated for tools, capital, and salaries Higher level leaders are too in the weeds and not working on the harder strategic aspects Businesses are not aligned with common products to gain best synergies as all businesses fight to defend $s not what actually makes sense for the company (radios sharing same suppliers are in completely different segments; CCAs are built across 10+ different factories managed by different management teams instead of a couple of large COEs) All leaders felt unempowered due to lack of ownership of budgets. Budgets were set but then adjusted at further levels without any additional discussion of new targets and how to achieve. Then budgets would be reallocated a few months into year if you weren't demonstrating that you truly need it. This drove teams to spend heavy up front and not make the smartest decisions at times
