Pros
- Competitive salary - Lots of budget to work with for projects
Cons
- If you're a salaried employee, team's expect you to act hourly (at your desk from 9am-6pm, even if your role is project-based. Everyone has a specific lunch hour from 1-2pm) - Channel managers are not given autonomy to be experts for their channels. All ideas come from upper management and execs expect all teams to activate around the ideas immediately without question (without ever asking channel owners if it's a good idea for their respective channels) - The marketing team operates like it's about 15 years behind. Execs sit in fancy offices behind closed doors, CEO is out of touch and uninvolved, managers, specialists and coordinators are expected to act like their minions. - Office culture is depressing. Dark offices, minimal windows, only a few tiny phone booths for private work for employee's who don't have their own offices, no "focus rooms." Studio is in the middle of nowhere in Hillsboro, limited walkability if you want to get out for some fresh air, lunch, etc. - CMO talks down to employees, is late for meetings, forgets the purpose of their own meetings that they schedule and overall fosters a negative, environment - There are no new ideas on the team. The expectation is to continue "re-releasing" films year after year - not a place for innovative marketing. - Was never able to discuss personal/career growth. When trying to escalate this conversation to my manager, it was shut down and forgotten. It feels like they want to keep you in the same place for as long as possible.
