Pros
1. Was able to choose our own schedule as long as all of our assignments were finished on time. 2. It was a fairly easy job. 3. The upper management seemed to care about its employees for the most part. 4. Co-workers were great. 5. Friendly atmosphere.
Cons
1. Very demanding hours and deadlines. I was told at the start of my job that it was a normal 9-5 job, 40 hour work week, with the occasional days off here and there. Not at all! A 40 hour work week was a minimal hour work week. Most times we had to put in 55-60+ hours a week just to meet the demands of the client. 2. Sometimes we were given a 20+ hour assignment with only a day and a half to have it finished. 3. The company did not care that its clients overworked the employees. 4. Very long hours stuck in a car with little to no time for breaks if you wanted to complete all of the work by the given deadline. 5. The company was very stingy with OT. Rather than actually paying us OT they promised us days off as a form of compensation, but this RARELY happened (1/6 times in my 6 month time working for the company). Typically we would just get our normal hourly rate with not time off. 6. Project driven company. If there is no project, there is no work. Potential to have multiple layoffs.
