Pros

Friendly colleagues, interesting projects, creative atmosphere. Students are committed and friendly.

Cons

Canadian management is distant, rude and unprofessional. Many people made redundant over 18 months, especially those who challenged the CEO's ideas or were suddenly considered dispensable after seeing through big projects. Workload is too high, with more work pushed on busy people. Salaries are very low compared to other education places. A culture of belittling, bullying, racism and sexism - a lot of it out in the open.

Pros

Some solid colleagues who try support each other.

Cons

Management is angry and unreasonable, which makes the place tense and chaotic. Workplace inequalities are obvious and ignored. Bad behaviour is rewarded, and anyone who raises concerns is treated as a problem. Senior staff show little to no ethics, which sets the tone for the whole place. Hiring practices are questionable, with people brought in despite known professional issues from previous workplaces, which only compounds the problems. Pay is low for the workload, and staff are pushed well past a fair limit. Expectations shift without warning, and overall treatment of staff is dismissive and unfair.
