Pros

Cool office space. Pretty cool perks and benefits, especially if you have a dog (dog-friendly office). Snacks and end-of-month cake, occasional free lunches. Very friendly new CEO. Laid-back atmosphere with several couches and bean bags.

Cons

(Please note that the previous review of this company was posted by someone on Leaf's HR team.) Company culture at Leaf is poor at best. Culture was never a top priority during the foundation of the company and today there's a noticeable divide between management and the 'rest of the company.' It's the kind of place where most people don't know everyone's name. Additionally, the HR team has an enormous amount of power, especially for a company of this size, and it's detrimental to whatever bits of culture exist. Leaf also doesn't accommodate hires from within; HR shows little to no gratitude for Leaf's original employees and several of them have already left for this specific reason. Vacations also aren't paid out when you leave.

Pros

The health benefit is probably the best part (only for individuals though). The other good thing is the location - Cambridge is the place to be. CEO is super friendly and good to talk with. Not sure if the concerns get addressed though after speaking with CEO.

Cons

One of the previous reviews mentions about HR having great power. Which is true. I have not worked in a place where HR has been given so much power. Almost feel like a school child being reprimanded at each step. So much power that at one point HR asked everyone not to send mass emails to the company wide email list , but send it to them instead and then if they seem to think that it is an email worthy to be sent to the entire company, they will send on your behalf - this is so ridiculous!!! Some of the engineering leads act so high and mighty - make everyone else feel like minions. Culture is not transparent. Things are never done on time.
