discrete questions of company stability were asked during interview, as I was hesitant to join:
description of backlog work was false.
description of support if work slowed was false.
description of internal new employee support/integration was false.
I joined with promises of a growing division, lots of work available. I was put on a disaster project that the client had refused, with the expectation of 'fixing' it. This resulted in a couple months of 6-7 day weeks; 10, 12, 14+ hour days (not spite exaggeration). Project successfully limped over the finish line without so much as a thank you. I was then told I needed to find work, despite no projects existing within the division. 2 weeks on the bench and I was kicked out. Total elapsed time: less than 6 months,
Use, abuse, and discard. Don't expect much if you don't already have tenure.
