Pros
-You will work with some great techs
-You will learn a lot before you get burnt out
Cons
-Bad Benefits
-All work is monitored through an agent installed on each machine.
-They monitor to see if your resume has been recently published to the web.
-Ratio of 1 Manger to 2 Techs
-Lack of vacation time. (10 days for entire year) Few bank holidys observed.
-Management over promises clients.
-On call weeks can be hard on family life.
-Lots of afterhours work is expected.
-Management clings to the family owned business mantra when it suits them, but they do not treat the techs like family.
-Rapid expansion with lack of people who actually know how to manage.
LMS was once a great company until the owner pushed for rapid expansion and installed his 2 son-in-laws to run the company. The guy running the company was brought along in a decent manner, and is genuinely a good guy, but he over promises clients and the mad dash to take on client can be stressful on the group as a whole.
The other son-in-law has no place being in management. He is very rude and gets overruled by the President a fair amount. He is the quintessential my Daddy owns this place type of guy. He also has no technical knowledge.
