Pros

Amazing kids, incredible peers, some good training and opportunities to see cool places

Cons

Workers yelled at and fired in front of kids, who started crying because of this. Insane demands. Kids made to stand on the street only in underwear and barefoot because of testing fire alarms at 7 in the morning, with no regard for even take a blanket for the children. Had to give my coat to a child not to freeze as they were not allowed to re-enter the building until 25 minutes later when "everyone left the building"

Pros

The environment is great, interacting with students. Nice way to spend your summer working with foreign students and leading activities. The travel fees during trips are covered. Accommodation is provided on the campus so travelling to and from work is not necessary.

Cons

The accommodation fees are taken from your salary as well as the catering. Overtime is not paid fully, some hours are ignored if the maximum overtime is exceeded.

Pros

- Work load is manageable and you have a lot of independence - Supportive teaching team - Great students

Cons

- The pay isn't that high for a teaching job + planning at around £12.50 per hr. - The school can be a bit disorganised (despite management doing their best), but if you like to be flexible it's not so bad. -No career progression as it's just a summer school.
