Cons

This has become bad. I believe the HR manager has been tapping into Glassdoor and writing reviews just to get new employees hired. Or, he may have asked current employees to get in and just add something nice to say so they can get people to interview. Everyone, please read all reviews first , the long reviews were done with passion and good thoughts. Reviews of a few sentences were just artificially made up as a marketing plan for the unemployed workforce to attract them into Laser Shot. Salary: on the low end of market Benefits: Bottom of the barrel to attract the unemployed to come in. Bonuses: None Education Reimbursement: None Culture: Fear and intimidation from the COO. Restrooms: This area will tell you the best story of how the owners think of their employees. Break room: Small but it has a TV Surrounding Area: Stafford area sucks in traffic and places to eat. Their office is in Stafford a suburb of Houston. Warehouse: Super hot in the summer. Owners want the thermostat set at 77 F to save money. Furniture: Old chairs, old desks, etc. due to lack of funds. No capital outlay Computer systems: No working ERP system in place except for Excel, MS Word, Power Point. they use QuickBooks! Janitorial Service: Only once a week for the HQ office but one employee will empty out the trash daily. That is it. Company Values: Just make money who cares for the employees or customers. 10m Breaks and smoking breaks: None. It is listed in the handbook. Get caught you are out. COO: "Run! .. Forest.. Run!: , as one former employee said below. Parking: Be prepared to park in a dirt lot if the regular parking is filled. Buy new shoes Office Privacy: None, cubicles at most or open area. There are only 8 rooms w/ doors all reserved for VPs, Directors, and the two owners. Good Accounting People: They did not have a CFO for whole year. Some accounting is done with a private consultant. Wow! Materials Dept.: No stock, no inventory at times as they are late in paying., Never saw so many vendors upset. Personal Advancement: Slow to none Hiring: Hire fast and fire faster. Future: Dependent on outlook of Federal Defense expenses Happiness: What is that word in Laser Shot?
