Pros

I have been with LeapFrog for 2 and 1/2 years now. My focus is systems analyst and project management work within financial services. I have enjoyed my experience with LeapFrog tremendously. I have been consulting since 1996 and they are my favorite firm. I have with their help moved internally at my current client to get a chance to explore project management. I have gotten to know a lot of other consultants at lunches and outtings etc and they have moved to different clients around the Boston and RI while at LeapFrog. I get great benefits and help from the home office when I need something. I see my account manager at my account just about every week which is nice. Long story short, after a couple of years they have kept their promises and I have opportunities which is why I am writing this review on the train instead of napping.

Cons

Retirement benefits could be better.

Pros

Very easy to get hired.

Cons

This is just a staffing agency and a bad one at that. Let's not insult "real" consulting companies by calling it that. They have some recent college grads searching LinkedIn for anyone with a pulse and key words on their profiles. They lie to candidates hiring them as "full time employees" but if your project ends and you hit the bench you are unceremoniously fired! If you are lucky enough to land another project but the client wants a lower rate, they ask you to lower your salary; that is NOT consulting! All management cares about is making the most money (margin) off the heads of the people in the field. There is absolutely no career growth because it's not a real company. As for so called "account management", that is non-existent as well. They have some past relationships with a few people who buy from them and have been able to survive with one anchor account but that is it. There is no way they will ever really grow. They lied to some real "account managers" pretending that they wanted to hire them to manage some large client relationships, manage staff at these accounts, provide delivery oversight and work with marketing (which also doesn't exist along with HR), etc. to grow additional business but come to find out they were just looking to tap into their network thinking it would be some quick money. There is no unique value proposition so why would clients buy services from you? Don't lie to people, where they think they are being hired to manage existing accounts and then change the story and tell them their job is to hunt new accounts!
