Great products, customer focus, and selection Somewhat Canadian company
Cons
Red flags: 1. Computer didn't work 2. No onboarding with manager - they were running around being a hero putting fires out on their own 3. False promises during interview 4. Pay is well below market and this reflects in the quality of the people on staff 5. No bonus plan 6. No performance reviews or discussions 7. Introductory meetings with senior leaders where nearly all cancelled last minute or "rescheduled" without explanation - see comment below around limited hours - too busy to meet but able to leave early Other negative factors: - Listless culture - People are celebrated for being sheep and going along with non-sense which is a celebration of mediocrity - Hours are very limited when there is a lot of work to do - Why are there so many people in marketing???? - Misleading information in job interview, job description that wasn't accurate and expectations that weren't aligned between senior leaders, which shows a lack of coherence amongst senior leadership team - Bare bones corporate functions lead to unnecessary messes and inefficiencies - need for firefighting - Never ending restructuring that lacks strategic lens - Lack of meaningful work - Lack of constructive feedback and direction - Senior leadership wants people in the office but they sit in their offices all day with doors closed and hold meetings online - Lack of connection with peers and team - People are cold and don't even say hello - Very little willingness on the part of management to listen to constructive feedback and on the other hand they have all the answers - which shows the arrogance leadership - Very Hierarchical - there are the three top leaders with their separate parking spots, special rules and everyone else
