Pros

- Fun and easy-going environment. - Good place to learn more about manipulating people and make them buy. Not a place for someone with university degree though.

Cons

- It's not really a marketing job, it's a sales job although they insist it's marketing. Most of the time you spend on Canadian Tires and Costco selling products people don't need. - Working hours are AWFUL and IRREGULAR. Some days you go to the office for only 1 hour, even if you stay more you won't get paid. Other days you spend more than 14 hours combined in office and retail stores. I.e.: go to office in the morning and stay for one/two hours then head to retail stores for more than 4 hours - You don't get paid for extra time in stores for counting stocks and restocking. You can stay until midnight in Costco counting and re-stocking merchandise. - I worked two weeks and barely got $500, it doesn't worth the hard work and TIME - You HAVE to commute to various places across BC and you DON'T get travelling expenses reimbursed. - Lot's of calls outside the work, they like to make calls at the end of the day, or after your shift, to see how was your day and etc. I'm not a really big fan of this.

Pros

"Team spirit" , "Leadership", "Potential Growth"

Cons

Very MLM/ pyramid scheme like. Huge discrepancy in what the position is advertised / what your position really entails. They advertise it as "event coordinator/ marketing assistant etc.", when really it is just an on-field sales representative selling products to consumers in retail stores. Lack of transparency regarding business management and growth in company for employees Salary: VERY underpaid (pretty much pure commission) Unpractical scheduling: uncertainty of your schedule until last minute- you show up at 8-9am in the office for "briefings" before you get sent to your designated site. Travel time pay is NOT included when going to your site (can go as far as from Vancouver to White Rock). Sometimes you're scheduled to your site not until afternoon- e.g. you are "working" from 8-9am at the office, then get paid for "2-7pm" High turnover: within my 3 months, experienced a LOT of turnover of employees. Management does not care, as long as their work is staffed Professionalism: communication in emails and phone calls- they NEVER answer their phone, and do not reply emails promptly. Further notes/ advice to potential employees: the company is filled with fresh graduates and ew immigrants. Minimum pay, fixed schedules, no benefits, no growth in company etc. the list can go on why smart individuals do not stay in the company.
