Pros

Was a true startup environment with lots of room to think outside the box.

Cons

The hiring practices and incentive structures didn't always fit the reality of what the company was, leading to employees who clung to predictability instead of taking bold action and thinking outside the box. Misaligned incentives within company departments.

Pros

Startup environment with a cool mission to transform immigration. Good people - really enjoyed working here. Was acquired in 2022.

Cons

Like many startups, you're building the plane as you fly it! So it's not cushy, you need to be constantly building/improving. Some folks would view this as a con, but I loved it!

Pros

The co-workers are nice and empathetic. Together, we routinely felt like we were on the ground floor trying our very best to keep a ship from sinking. There is frequent praise for performance, but it becomes hollow, as those who excel are continually nullified based on the same positive attributes that made them stand out as assets.

Cons

Legalpad's mismanagement projects the scariest range of values, where lip service is hailed to a moral creed that is promptly betrayed by every action taken. Rather than valuing people, they use them while dangling opportunities in an attempt to gain trust. The atmosphere is the worst mix of helplessness and broken spirits, leeched of any individualism, with most long-since given up any attempts at voicing concerns.
