While it's disappointing to read this former employee's sentiment, out of respect for our 70+ employees, our investors, and our many clients, we feel the need to respond.
We’re quite proud of the work/life balance at Level Ex. It’s one of the reasons we have an uncommonly low turnover rate since the company’s founding three years ago. We believe that one of the main contributors to that high level of employee satisfaction is the fact that we do not consider "crunch mode" to be the default like so many other game studios and high growth start-ups.
From a compensation and benefits standpoint we are considered competitive, and we offer equity to every single full-time employee. Again, not standard in games studios and start-ups.
We do have a rigorous interview process and it helps us ensure that we bring in the best talent to help create our industry-leading medical games. That talent includes our senior management team which is comprised of alumni from Microsoft, WebMD, Ubisoft, Atari, Midway and WMS Games, among others.
Are we perfect? Nope. But we are proud of the work we do, and we strive to get better and better as we continue to grow our team.
