Pros
If you want to suddenly be upgraded in responsibility and scope of work, this is a good place for you. Your schedule and responsibilities will not be static, and a forward looking outlook to what you want to do is good to help control what tasks you do. Work/life balance is good.
Cons
If you don't suddenly want to be responsible for a new projects or task, including one outside of previous workflow and experience, this place could be stressful. There can be whiplash given it is a small-medium firm with large cases, where workloads go from easily managed (slow) to big deadline pushes. The firm's big caseloads against a defendant can take years to settle, and they are active in only several at once, so there is a feast and famine element to hiring, promotions and raises timed to settlements that could be managed smoother.
