Big changes coming - Anonymous employee Limerick Veterinary Hospital Employee Review

I'm a former employee who still has close ties with employees there, I still bring my dogs here as well. Overall this truly is a great vet to work at and they've made a lot of improvements. They have *NEW* Management which has really made for a lot of great changes that were long overdue. They've increased pay for employees, communication has gotten better and they just appreciate employees a lot more.

While there has definitely been problems at LVH previously (like every work place will) they truly have done a lot of things to improve the overall workplace and day-to-day for employees. The biggest improvement being the change in management which was an obvious issue for many in the past.

Discounts, friendships, good medicine, snacks

Toxic management. Belittled. If they help you out they will throw it in your face over small mistakes. I never had a friendly conversation with management, they only talk to you to point out all your mistakes in private and then bring it up again in a group meeting. Your coworkers are what makes it tolerable most days. Prepare to see coworker cry after management is done. The schedule is hectic. When I was hired I was told rotating weekends, but managed to work every weekend for months straight. Clocking out at almost 8:30pm and then clocking in at 6:30am. They encourage you to tattle on your coworkers.
