Cons

Ineffective management Toxic employees Inclusions isn't taken as serious as advertised Sadly after working for two years to get a position a LinkedIn I quickly found out the grass definitely wasn't greener. I came into LinkedIn excited and ready to go as well as incredibly nervous and anxious to prove myself. I quickly found out that working with the other in management was going to be a very poor experience. Other members of management had a problem with egos, many of them working purely for their own motives, idea from others out side of social circles were not accepted, and if you did or proposed something they did not like you would be quickly steamrolled. Even worse I was not the only person to point out these issues and when brought to upper management on my behalf or the behalf of an employee I would essentials be gaslit into thinking I was wrong. But I think the worst part is how the team treats people with medical issue. I personally have several disabilities and tried my hardest and always kept people in the loop with what was going on. My experiences as an individual with disabilities were met with apathy. Soon my performance slip no matter how hard I tried as I continues to struggle with new symptoms, so I went on a medical LOA and upon my return I was hoping for a fresh start to work hard and do my best. Sadly during that time I was informed by a co-work that I was being disparaged by both member who reported to me and my co-workers in management when the issue was raised to them by a concerned member of my team. When I returned I felt the tension as most of the team neglected to even go as far as to welcome me back or ask how I was doing health wise. At the end of the day it just felt like I was wrong for being sick and me going on a LOA was not okay. But that is not okay for ME so I protected myself and got out to save both my physical and mental health.

Pros

Amazing perks and nice people. Perks: I was able to purchase new luggage with the help of some internal points for my performance. Unfortunately, I have not traveled since I left the company with the luggage. Travel also changed after I took the job and I was a global traveler.

Cons

I ended up quitting my job to look for a new job in 2024. The exit from the company was extremely poorly managed by my manager and the HR staff. I had a very difficult time networking after I left the job which is funny given that it is a social networking platform. I felt like there was still a presence from the company even after joining She Runs It, a third-party networking platform for women. I expected more from LinkedIn during my departure. I was unaware what impact working at this company could have on my career. They should really help their employees with their next role and applying as a lot of the applications occur on the platform. There was only an opportunity to interview and reach out to people that worked for LinkedIn at B2B, even though I have B2C experience. AI has really complicated the process as well with writing etc. since leaving.
