Pros

Great place for learning and growth, the people are what truly keep this company going. Many are often doing the work of two or three people due to being understaffed, but everyone remains committed and helps make the work environment enjoyable.

Cons

Much of the hard work done by employees seems to be undermined by executive leadership, with the exception of the CTO. There is a significant disconnect between the C-suite and the rest of the company; executives rarely interact with employees, resulting in little sense of company culture. Employee well-being does not appear to be a priority. Additionally, the CEO’s communication style is ineffective and would benefit from professional PR or leadership communication training. There is a lack of transparency around processes, making it difficult to build on what has already been accomplished. Dealing with health benefits is unnecessarily challenging. Many employees view Lion as a place to stay for a few years and then leave, as it does not feel sustainable long term. There is limited support from management, and employees often have to constantly “manage up” to get things done.

Pros

I love the culture. I love the fact that Lion Energy looks to hire from its existing pool of employees first.

Cons

Sometimes we give people too many chances when they aren't doing anything to become better or address performance concerns.

Pros

non c suite employees are very good people.

Cons

everything else, especially the c suite. Pay and employee benefits are a joke while c suite gets unlimited time off and is always on vacation
