Pros

Offices: Really bright and spacious – walking distance to Penn Station, Grand Central and just about every subway line. There's also a TON of great food options in the area, with more opening all the time. Staff: A great group of young, energetic and creative professionals help to create a thoroughly enjoyable working environment. Good ideas are heard and acted upon, and there is plenty of room for lateral movement (with hard work and motivation, of course). Management: Great about hearing employee concerns and acting on / responding to them in a meaningful way. Constantly trying to find ways to make the office / work environment even better for their staff.

Cons

Offices: The company being spread out over two floors creates a bit of a disconnect between the separate teams. Additionally, a current lack of a proper receptionist / office manager on both floors also means that some of the perks like "unlimited snacks," free coffee and teas are unevenly distributed (one floor's pantry is always replenished while the other's is left virtually empty for weeks on end). Management: Communication about new business initiatives and relationships (as well as details about expectations for editors / writers and where to prioritize within the daily / weekly workflow) could use some improvement. Many of these situations feel rushed, making everything seem like a scramble to the writers.

Pros

What I appreciate most about working at LittleThings is that you get to be exposed to everything. Corporate environments tend to box you in a role with no room for growth and other start-ups tend to be disastrous and unstable. LittleThings gives me a perfect balance of structure and the ability to really grow my role organically. Great culture- everyone is very collaborative since we work in small teams. Senior management actually listens and thinks about the long term career trajectory of their employees as they continue to grow larger. Variety of health insurance packages to choose from at great prices- coming from a more corporate background where they would offer only 3 plans to choose from- I am definitely much happier to have over a dozen personalized plans that I can afford. The negative reviews that I've seen posted are coming from people that are no longer working with us. It's sad how some people project so much anger and hate which confirms that they really were not a fit for our company to begin with. Life is heavy as is and everyone here does their best to represent what LittleThings stands for by keeping life fun, light and a little more positive :)

Cons

Broken down into two floors, but the company does a nice job at having events where both floors can have a chance to mingle and interact with one another. Sometimes the open environment gets distracting, but you can always jump in a conference room.
