Pros

The only "pro" is that you are working on a project for one of the largest companies in the world

Cons

- No support from LocTeam regarding administrative, legal, HR etc. issues. It is as if LocTeam treats its own employees as enemies - No real LocTeam representation in the client's office, so most paperwork exchange, questions and such are done via emails with their HQ in Barcelona. Current "management" present in the client's office has very little decision-making power and feels powerless to make any meaningful changes - You never know when LocTeam's bosses are in the client's office. They just show up without announcement and unless you bump into them in the corridor, you will unlikely even know they were there - Too much shady business behind the closed curtains: you are never told anything until the very last moment leading to a lot of hearsay and gossiping - Zero chance of professional growth - LocTeam does not invest any money in their employees, so forget about acquiring new skills or knowledge - Salary growth non-existent even after several years of work - Absolutely no bonuses - Absolutely no job benefits - Subpar salary for Madrid (well-below industry average)

Pros

You will work in the client office in a friendly informal working enviroment although generally speaking people are demotivated.

Cons

There is an absence of the basic principles of Human Resources management. You will have to deal with a lawyer based in Barcelona who will manage the workforce by interpreting the law in the best interest of Locteam. She is totally unaware of what the testing role entails, she doesn't have a clue about the testing processes or procedures and definitely does not know what testers do on a daily basis. The worker is not an important part of the project, there are no clear objectives the performance appraisal process is not there to improve or develop employee skills simply to make you work harder without reward or recognition. The Locteam philosophy is that “you should be gratefull to have a job”. Project Management: The Managers are more like secretaries as they simply forward the email that contains the tasks requested by client. They have no decision making power, no people management experience and are over excessive with their monitoring which interferes with your role effectiveness and sense of autonomy. You can consult the Locteam lawyer if you have a problem but she will simply come up with a law that defends the interests of Locteam!!
